Very important in this phase of further growth and transformation is the role of the Finance Department. That is why we are now searching for the new Finance Director for FinCo Fuel Netherlands, who is able to set up the financial business partner role.

The ideal candidate
As a Finance Director you are hands on, ambitious and stress resistant. You have strong leadership and planning & coordinating skills. And of course very important: you are passionate about sustainability and FinCo’s goal to build a future proof backbone to facilitate their contribution in the energy transition.
Furthermore you recognize yourself in the next criteria:
- Completed Master’s degree in Economics/Business Administration or related education and/or post qualification (RA/RC/CPA/ACCA/MBA);
- Very strong accounting/reporting and business acumen;
- Approximately 15 years’ experience in an end responsible/business oriented finance role in an international and growing environment. Experience in a trade/ commodity trade environment is a big plus;
- Fluent in English;
- Extensive experience in setting up frameworks that create measurable business objectives and unlock actual insight into business progress compared to targets;
- IT savvy and experience with system implementations;
- Successful track record in change and improvement processes.
The job profile
In this complex fuel trade environment, you will have a broad scope of responsibilities, including finance operations (actuals), business control, internal control & risk management and further implementation of IT tools helping FinCo to be future proof. Representing a vital part of the company, you will facilitate further growth while enhancing financial stewardship, transparency, compliance and performance. Besides your strong analytical and technical finance skills, the ideal candidate is change driven and IT savy. You will report directly to the Group CFO of FinCo Fuel (Hans Wouda) and have a very close working relationship with the CEO of FinCo Fuel Netherlands (Pieter Peeters) and his team.
As the new Finance Director, you are able to structure and improve upon the current finance team and to develop a professional business control/FP&A position. You are capable of further enhancing the business partner role of finance for the CEO: you are his sparring partner in all business decisions, whether they are commercial or operational. The new Finance Director is able to drive the business and to set up an added- value business control function.
Another important focus will be structuring your team and the further improvement of the financial and IT backbone, (business process & applications). Together with the group and your team, you will work on efficient and future proof ICT processes and systems.
