Since its establishment in 1997, Group of Butchers has grown into the undisputed category captain of the deli fresh meat segment for various occasions (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacking). Through its focus on an attractive premium assortment, various packaging types and enacting a successful buy-and-build strategy, Group of Butchers has expanded geographically and broadened its unique assortment of artisanal meat products and non-meat (salads, tapas, hummus, soups), powered by innovation and responsiveness to market trends. Group of Butchers is headquartered in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and has an own distribution center in Boxtel. More than 1700 colleagues are involved in the activities of Group of Butchers. In December 2020 Dutch investment firm Parcom finalised the acquisition of Group of Butchers from Equistone Partners Europe, a UK investment firm. Going forward, Parcom will give a boost to this strategic route by acting as sparring partner for management and by actively supporting the integration of recently acquired companies. With Parcom’s proven experience and widespread network, Group of Butchers will exploit the further sustainable upside potential and continue its strong performance.
The job profile
This role is a key leadership role within finance, as well as across the organization, with a direct report to the CFO. You play a crucial part in transforming systems (such as Reflex, Multivers, Navision and INFOR), financial processes and the further people development of the team in line with the strategy of Group of Butchers. As Manager Finance & Control you ensure the effective and efficient running of the finance team (20 people) in the Netherlands at three locations (Tilburg, Delft and Sassenheim). Together with the team you will focus on the timely delivery of financial information that is of sufficient quality. This information enables the CFO, Management Team and other colleagues to understand the actual financial position and to have them make optimal decisions based on your reliable financial information. Other interesting projects are further developping the Internal Control framework, optimizing working capital and improving Cash Flow Monitoring for better investment decision making.“We innovate because we want to introduce our customers to renewal and modernisation. The ideal candidate
- Academic degree in Economics, Accountancy, Finance and/or Business Administration;
- Relevant experience in a senior controlling and/or financial management role;
- Likes to combine people management and technical finance skills;
- Strong experience within a production environment, preferably with plant control;
- Focus on process improvement, with a good understanding of technical accounting;
- Excellent people management, leadership and teambuilding skills;
- Attention to detail, but with the ability to think strategically as needed;
- A proactive, results-driven and adaptable approach.
