B&C International, founded in 1971, is a Dutch based leading manufacturer of window decoration with a pan-European footprint. With a wide range of products, B&C focuses on home decoration retailers and operates a proprietary web shop supplying the end-consumer directly . The most important sales countries are the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Poland (also production), France, Norway, Spain and Italy. Sourcing takes place worldwide with buying offices in the Far East (Taiwan and China). Early 2021, B&C has been acquired by Springs Window Fashions group based in Middleton, Wi, USA, a leader in the American interior and exterior window fashions market, employing approximately 9,000 associates. Springs Window Fashions was itself recently acquired by Clearlake Capital. The partnership with Springs puts B&C in a strong position to further expand its activities in Europe. The contemporary head office, a modern warehouse, and the specialized transport company are located in Nunspeet B&C employs 800 associates and generates a turnover exceeding €100 mio. 

The ideal candidate

B&C International is looking for a business minded CFO who can lead the change into a more professional, efficient, engaging company. A finance professional with critical thinking, resilience, and accountability, that will partner with the B&C leadership and ownership to grow a world-class organization. A strong personality that can reduce matters to the core and provide solutions. 
  • Completed Master’s degree in Economics/Business Administration or related education and/or post qualification (RA/RC); 
  • Experienced finance leader (10 years +) with a proven track record in change processes/cost reduction;
  • Extensive experience in a business-oriented finance role, preferable with background in a competitive, mid-sized production company; Experience with a US and/or UK company is considered to be advantageous;
  • Experience with a company backed by Private Equity is considered to be a plus;
  • Extensive experience with international financing & tax issues;
  • Demonstrated management experience and leadership qualities;
  • Good knowledge of automation and business information systems, including robotization of administrative processes;
  • Extensive experience and proven success in the field of finance & control plus treasury and tax;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP reporting is an advantage;
  • Strong ICT knowledge, ERP-implementation capabilities.

The job profile

A summary of tasks and responsibilities:
  • Owning and driving monthly and yearly closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to internal and external parties. Leading the annual budgeting and cash planning processes;
  • Completing the reshaping of the current financial team into an efficient, high performing, and cost-effective finance & accounting organization;
  • Understanding and responding to the various financial requests of Springs Window Fashions and Clearlake Capital;
  • Partnering with management team and ownership to develop annual and long-term strategic plans;
  • Improving processes and tools for margin, pricing, costing analyses, supporting all facets of the B&C valuable insights;
  • Reviewing large customer contracts in order to support negotiation of commercial terms and conditions;
  • Partnering with Springs’ financial leadership for hedging and other functions globally managed at the corporate office in Middleton, WI, USA;
  • Contribute to Working Capital optimization, group cashflow forecasting;
  • Supporting M&A activity in Europe, including post-merger integration of newly acquired companies;
  • Maintaining solid relationships with all internal and external stakeholders (shareholder, MT, tax authorities, legal, external auditors).
