Sirius Medical, founded in 2017, is a spin-off of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital and the University of Twente, aimed at improving the health outcomes of breast cancer patients. The company provides unique, cost-effective solutions enabling precise and efficient surgical tumor removal. 

The job profile

To support the growth of the activities, financial integration of the entities, and preparation of a strategic exit within the coming years, they seek support from an experienced financial leader. You will join the management team and become part of a multidisciplinary, international team of medical device experts (technology, clinical, quality, business, operational) in which you quickly take ownership of and set out directions on all financial matters.

The ideal candidate

  • Completed Master’s degree in Finance/Economics (ideally complemented by an RA or RC degree);
  • Relevant experience in an end-responsible finance/CFO role; 
  • Ability to build, scale and lead the complete finance function;
  • You are a financial leader with experience in small and dynamic commercial-stage scale-up teams that realize rapid growth;
  • You preferably have experience in healthcare, such as medical devices, medtech, biotech or pharma;
  • You take ownership of anything that touches the financial domain, but you understand that in small teams, everyone takes on the work that needs to be done;
  • You are familiar with Exact Online (including the Trade module) and know your way around Quickbooks; 
  • You are highly comfortable in working with Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience to build reporting for Sirius Medical internal leadership and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships and supporting fundraising efforts, including building a business plan and storytelling;
  • Experience with highly innovative business dynamics;
  • Excellent team member and stakeholder management;
  • Extensive experience in setting up frameworks that create measurable business objectives and unlock actual insight into business progress compared to targets;
  • Great communication skills, known for being a good listener and hearing what people need in order to serve them best;
  • You are fluent in English and preferably Dutch;
  • You are willing to work at least two days a week from our offices in Eindhoven.
