We are looking for a proactive Director Business Control to join a large, international company in the middle of the Netherlands. This innovative organisation is active worldwide is growing at an annual rate of 10-15%. It consists of several business units. The unit where this role becomes available is the largest, with over a 650 colleagues. As this unit is important for the growth of the organisation, they invests heavily in it. Although the company has a huge size, the company feels and works like a mid-market organisation: informal and hands-on.

The job profile

As Business Director Control, you act as a strong business partner for your stakeholders within this internationally operating unit and you are also part of the MT. In this role, you are responsible for providing valuable business information to this team, supporting decision making, driving business results and delivering program results on time, within financial constraints. You provide your business counterparts in the organisation with insights into their financials and other performance indicators through reporting and analysis and support of the forecasting processes. In addition, you have an independent view on business proposals and you are able to provide advice on several business topics. You will work closely with business unit executives and their teams, as well as the global Business Control department. You are also involved in internal improvement projects for the business and the financial organisation. For this role it is important to have strong leadership skills, be strategic and have a transformation mindset.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a finance professional with a master degree (Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy) and over 10 years of relevant experience in business control, in an international, corporate setting. It is preferred to have experience in a product development environment. You are able to guide and advise at all organizational levels to effect sustainable change and improving the process maturity level of the organization. Even under pressure, high speed of change and uncertainty, you maintain personal effectiveness and people focus. You are a real team player, who enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams but also works independently. You are keen on high quality and have strong awareness of customer impact.

Furthermore, you have excellent communication and analytical skills, and able to manage a large and diverse range of stakeholders. An excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written) is needed. Dutch or other languages would be advantageous.
