For a successful scale-up in the Amsterdam region, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and ambitious Finance Director who wants to contribute to the success of this manufacturing company in the luxury industry.

The job profile

With the ambition to raise further there is a need to hire a Finance Director who can take the next step in building the financial function of this successful scale- up. For an ambitious professional, this offers a special opportunity to step into a fast-growing company in an entrepreneurial role, as well as an unique opportunity to grow personally with the organization.  In this role you report directly into the CEO and manage the finance team. 

In order to realize the large growth and development ambitions, the further development of the finance and back office organization is of great importance. Essential here is the (further) automation and scalability of the primary finance processes, which ensure that the organization can continue to process large volumes and higher complexity projects properly.

In addition, further establishing the business control function, which provides the right (financial) insights and analysis, is key to maintaining visibility into the company's performance while scaling up.
 

The ideal candidate

  • A Master’s degree (i.e. Business Economics, Business Administration, Accounting and Control, etc.) possibly supplemented by a post-graduate degree;
  • Relevant work experience, including several years in a managerial and/or final responsible role with a fast growing company, preferably in a projects, construction or production organization; 
  • Highly experienced in setting up efficient core finance processes, contributing to the plans and growth strategy of a company;
  • Affinity with realizing a modern, data driven finance function where digitization and deployment of smart (reporting) tools plays an important role; 
  • Affinity with the efficient use and deployment of IT (BI systems, Excel);
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Affinity and/or experience with high-growth companies. Think of acquisitions, financing and post merger integration processes;
  • Excellent analytical ability and numerical insight with an eye for detail; You can switch 
  • between strategy and operations: you are able to make complex challenges small and translate them into feasible objectives for the operation.
