Internal Auditor

Organization

Broadview is an industrial holding that pursues long-term growth and value creation through active support of its operating companies and efficient capital allocation. It was founded in 2008 as a holding company, belonging to HAL Investments, following the acquisition of Arpa as a sister company to Trespa. Currently, the holding office exists of roughly 30 professionals with backgrounds in investing, multinationals and tier-one accounting-, consulting- and law firms.

From its office centrally located in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Broadview aims to support its companies in their development to become and stay the reference in their industry. So that they are still relevant decades from now. The fundamental belief is that its long-term approach benefits all stakeholders, from employees to shareholders and from suppliers to customers. Broadview pursues a decentralized but coordinated management approach whereby the operating companies are managed by separate management teams that cooperate where it makes sense from a long-term growth perspective.

The companies grouped under Broadview currently employ around 6.000 employees worldwide and is currently active in two clusters: Energy and Material Technology. To further grow the business, Broadview pursues an active M&A growth strategy. Initial focus is on expanding the position in the mentioned value chains.

The job profile

The goal of the internal audit role is to further improve the internal control environment within the Broadview Group worldwide, to further solidify the reliability of financial reporting and monitor compliance.

A long-term perspective requires safeguarding continuity. This means controlling non-business risks to avoid that they can directly or indirectly threaten continuity.
In the past years, the group has increased in size significantly. To realize all synergy potential, many cross-company projects have been identified while at the same time the companies have to synchronize with the Broadview rhythm. The CFOs of the companies report both to their CEO and to Broadview.

Within the Broadview Business System we drive the internal control environment via designated ‘tools’, i.e. the Control Framework, the Broadview Control Improvement List at the companies and Fraud Risk Assessment.
