Together, they desire to expand significantly and Midocean anticipates the expansion of its own product portfolio and expanding to the textile assortment that will be offered through SOLO Group’s portfolio.

The job profile

Due to their continued success, midocean is actively investing in getting the internal organizational structures, processes and systems in place to support & facilitate growth to the next level. As the new Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with the mission of fortifying the accounting and tax foundation. Working from Ede, you work closely with accounting team in Ede, Poland, Hong Kong and other regions as well as with controlling Poland and BI teams. You report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coach and manage the (regional-) accounting teams, including the credit control team;
  • Provide insightful analysis and enforcing rigorous financial controls, to chart and support the course of business's growth;
  • Manage/optimize the accounting, accounting structures and financial closing processes. This includes implementing improved controls to ensure accuracy of the monthly closing process.

The ideal candidate

You are a proactive, analytical and ambitious financial who likes to work in a fast growing, international business. You drive continuous improvement which you effect through your experience in process optimizations and/or automations. You have a strong financial background, an entrepreneurial mindset and a business minded approach. 

  • Completed degree at a university of applied sciences (HBO) or university (WO) level in Business Economics, Accountancy and Control or similar discipline;
  • Approx. 10 years of working experience within an international, commercial (wholesale) organization, ideally characterized by rapid growth and change, and with a high volume of sales;
  • Strong analytical skills, able to quickly adapt in a complex environment; 
  • Motivated to be effective in a team (team player) and able to lead changes;
  • Effective communicator, capable of connecting with various stakeholders in- and outside of the organization and establishing oneself as a full-fledged discussion partner.
