The job profile
As the new Controller of Paques Europe, you are responsible for finance within the Europe division and have a key role in controlling the financial numbers. You will report directly to the MD Paques Europe and have a functional line to the CFO of Paques Global. Within the region you will have (1-2 fte) accounting colleagues, who report into you. You have a pro-active involvement in the regional strategy, in order to advice the European management on financial policy and financial risks at short and mid-long term.
You manage the Paques Europe planning and control cycle, including budget, reporting, and forecasting. You supervise the project control framework within Paques Europe and be responsible for project control, including contract reviews of financial risks and project cash flow management.
In addition, you play a leading role in driving change within both Paques Global and Europe and are able to guide colleagues through this process.

The ideal candidate
You feel very comfortable in a complex, global company and have very strong interpersonal skills. You have the ability to provide clear direction, set priorities, and clarify roles and responsibilities to get things done and solve problems. You are very driven to make impact and have the ability to lead, coach and develop others to achieve desired goals and objectives.
- Education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a finance business role;
- Competence to think, act and advice strategically and to link long term vision into daily activities;
- Experience with financial drivers and the Percentage of Completion method for accounting revenues and expenses of long-term contracts;
- Knowledge of and experience with functional application management for financial related applications, ideally with SAP;
- Fluent in English (verbally and in writing).
